About our Founder:

Ron Lamb

Beginning his career as a sales trainee, Ron established himself as a turnaround specialist, excelling in nearly every role within enterprise SaaS sales, ultimately rising to SVP, overseeing a team of over 500 sales professionals. After earning his MBA in night school, he transferred to the world headquarters where he was tasked with revitalizing a range of underperforming areas, including strategy, marketing, M&A, web, digital, service/support, customer experience, and large accounts (LAMP).

Because of his track record, Ron was tapped to be President of Reynolds + Reynolds, the dominant software provider in retail automotive.  The company needed a new vision and fresh perspective, and then-CEO Bob Brockman, co-founder of Vista Private Equity, felt Ron was up to the job.  Over the next 7 years, Ron’s team grew recurring revenue $300 million per year, which led him to being named a Global All-Star by Automotive News.

In 2018, Ron was named CEO of Daxko, a GI Partners software company in the fitness space.  Ron instituted various operational best practices and led the company through the COVID crisis (which caused 25% of customers to file BK).  Over his 6+ years at the helm, Ron helped his team nearly triple the size of the company, including adding nearly 200 team members in India.

Ron has learned from working for 5 different CEOs, including 11 years for Bob Brockman. Ron has consulted for numerous Private Equity firms such as Warburg Pincus, Genstar, Vista, True Wind and more.  In addition, Ron has benefited from countless training and instructional programs as well as amazing mentors such as Lt. General George Close (ret.).

TBT2 Operational Best Practices and Standards of Excellence are the amalgamation of all these influences and lessons learned.

When not helping leaders maximize their potential, Ron can be found on the water fly fishing, playing hockey or pickleball with friends or enjoying his favorite activity of investing time with his wife of 35 years and their three children.
